Aerated concrete what and how?

Aerated concrete is known in the construction industry for over a hundred years. The first attempts to introduce water vapor under high pressure to the mixture of cement has already carried out in 1877 Zernikov. Unfortunately, the material obtained by him proved to be very volatile. Only three years later was able to fine-tune this technology so that it can be practically used in construction. The breakthrough, however, brought only a patent obtained by Hoffmann, E. 1889. The inventor has used the reaction of dilute hydrochloric acid with lime powder to get a mortar cement and calcium containing air bubbles. JW Aylsworth and FA Dyer went a slightly different route and used a reaction of calcium with water and a small amount of metal powder. Its patented technology, scientists in 1914. Work on improving the manufacturing process of cellular concrete was halted during the First World War. After its completion in the study actively engaged Swedes and Germans. It is in these countries in the 30s last century created the first plants producing concrete with air bubbles (cells). For the Polish technology that had established in 1954 with the launch of a factory in Solec Kujawski.
